A New Dress for Baby

I finished this very cute dress last night for this very cute baby.
I used McCall's pattern #M4757.
It came out nice but I wouldn't use this pattern again because it had quite a few unusual steps. It had bias tape under the arms, and the full self-lined yoke was put together in a way that was very confusing.(and I have done regular facings many times before) Also, the zipper just added more time to the whole project.

Very, very cute. I have sewn quite a few dresses for my little girls and have always found the yoke to be the most challenging. Do you mind sharing the pattern numbers for similar style dresses that you have found to be easier to accomplish? Thanks!

Oh that's absolutely adorable! Well worth the effort. FWIW, I have never had a satisfactory experience with McCall's patterns. I prefer Simplicity and have just dipped into using Kwik Sew on the advice of many, many friends.

What a sweet babe!
